| A custom printing and bindery plant
had a bank of vacuum pumps that were making excessive noise in the nearby office and break
room. The plant engineer decided to use a BSC-25 curtain system that reduced the noise
immediately outside by over 14 dBA (a 68% reduction). Management was pleased with the
overall noise reduction and the appearance while the plant engineer was additionally
satisfied with the ease of installation. |

The curtain system met the local
fire regulations and did not interfere with existing lighting and fire sprinkler systems.
Installation was performed by the night maintenance crew and penetrations for piping was
done with the "field installation kit."

photo (seen on opposite side) shows how the noise
curtains can be cut to fit around piping and steel
